Kostov, according to local newspapers, created a world record on Sunday after plunging 45 metres into the river. 100-Levs Banknotes Issued from New Year on.

In all probability, banknotes of 100 levs will be issued in early 2003, said yesterday Martin Zaimov, deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) for Darik radio. The BNB have already approved the design of the banknotes.

Till end-season the Bulgarians will be able to vacation cheap in Paradise Beach.
A deluxe holiday village meant for Bulgarian citizens was inaugurated yesterday near St. Vlas resort. Ilija Pavlov, president of MG corporation, came to the seaside resort to promote the year's heaviest investment into BG tourism. Paradise Beach is the new gem of the Bulgarian southern Black-Sea coast. The resort is just several meters away from the beach. The five hotels have a 800-bed capacity and 250 rooms designed and equipped according to Nekerman standards. The holiday village was built in 6 months only. Till the end of the season the Bulgarian citizens will be able to vacation in Paradise Beach at preferential prices which cover all kinds of extras under an "all-inclusive" program, said CEO of Balkantourist Nedialka Sandalska. Yesterday the first tourists came. For them there will be a special bonus - a free weekend in the resort. The inauguration was attended by deputy minister of economy Dimiter Hajinikolov, chief coordinator of "Vazrazhdane" club Stoyan Gentchev, regional governor of Bourgas Ivan Vitanov, mayor Joanne Kostadinov, mangers of Nessebar resort, CEO of "Building and Restoration" agency Nikola Todorov, representatives of "GlavBulgarstroy", who are the subcontractors of the project. In spite of the government's appeals to draw in foreign investments, in practice only the BG companies invest in Bulgaria this year, commented the guests attended the opening.
